How To Send Encrypted Emails ?
Did you know that you can send
encrypted emails which are absolutely private ? Nowadays,
there is a need to send encrypted emails
for sensitive data ! In the last post, we talked about the RightInbox, today I am going to share some free services
that will help you to send encrypted emails.
Send Encrypted Emails
Infoencrypt
Infoencrypt does not require any installation. It is a web
based service to send encrypted emails. After entering your desired message you
have to set the password which will be further used to encrypt and decrypt your
sent message. It uses a encryption algorithm which is strong enough to send
secure emails. No password , no access to the messages.
SafeGmail
This is my personal favorite because I mainly use Gmail as
e-mail service and Chrome as a browser. SafeGmail is wonderful chrome extension to send
encrypted emails through Gmail ! Yes, it is available only for Gmail and
Chrome. I would be writing a detailed review on SafeGmail on my next post. Its
easy to use and gets implemented to Gmail in seconds. Paid plans are available.
RMail
RMail is easy to use email encryption service. Well you can
send only 10 encrypted messages per month. A registered receipt will be
received by us proving the encrypted delivery. Compose message , check the
“encrypt” box and “Send Registered”. You can also create a free account. No
downloads here.
Sendinc
Sendinc is another web based service which can be used by
you and your recipient for free. It encrypts your message thorugh out the
delivery time and never stored in an unencrypted form. It also verifies your
recipients are in fact your intented recipients. Well, they are encrypted with
a random generated key which is sent to your recipients in form of a link. Even
Sendinc can decrypt your encrypted message without a key. So we can conclude
that its pretty much safe J
Hushmail
I used Hushmail quite a few months back. While writing up
the post I remembered about it ! The best thing is that it provides mobile
services (android, iPhone etc). Like SafeGmail, here too paid plans are
available. It comes with unlimited aliases, storage and desktop client.
Lockbin
Lockbin isn't a web based app that can send safe emails but
also files. And It makes sure that your mails are not saved on email
servers. No registration in Lockbin. It
is encrypted AES-256 bit encryption. You have to send the password in other
communication way. The attachment size is limited to 15Mb Lockbin desktop
client is also available. With the paid plans you can cross the limit of the
file size.
iSafeguard
iSafeguard is a PC tool which provides secure encryption for
everyone. It also allows to sign and verify digital signatures. Its equipped
with a text editor and is easily
implemented in the Windows Shell. 3 editions of this program are available namely the freeware, enterprise
and professional edition. The latter version is full equipped with many
features which aren't present in the freeware edition.
Last note
Did you like this post ? Come on ! Its time to send an
encrypted email ! In the next post I am thinking of reviewing the SafeGmail
extension which is my favourite ! And I recommend you to use it ! Inform us if
you know more encryption services.
